Community Safety Training with the Secure Community Network (SCN)

Congregation Or HaTzafon is pleased to host an instructor from the Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America, for a day of community safety training in Fairbanks.

This training is open to the Jewish community of Fairbanks. Members from Chabad will also be joining us and are providing a kosher lunch for attendees during the lunch break.

Training Schedule

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Be Aware – Introduction to Situational Awareness
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Counter Active Threat Training (CATT)
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Kosher Lunch
• 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Stop the Bleed
• 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Break
• 3:15 PM – 4:30 PM: The Power of Hello

The Secure Community Network® (SCN®) is the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), SCN works to help protect Jewish institutions and communities through security training, emergency preparedness, threat monitoring, and coordination with law enforcement.

This program is the first in a series of community safety trainings planned with the next one scheduled for the Fall. We encourage everyone to attend and take advantage of these opportunities to learn practical skills that help keep our community safe
